Dr James Anderson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. Following specialist training he completed clinical fellowships in Sleep Medicine and Advanced Lung Disease (including lung transplantation), and a research fellowship with the Pulmonary Hypertension Society of Australia & New Zealand.

James’ interests are lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary nodules, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pulmonary embolism (PE) and pulmonary hypertension (PH). He is a highly experienced physician who is skilled in bronchoscopy and pleural procedures including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).

James is a Senior Staff Specialist at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and Senior Lecturer with Griffith University School of Medicine. He consults at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH), Buderim Private Hospital and Noosa Hospital.

James is a currently an investigator recruiting patients for PH, COPD and ILD trials and has published research in high impact respiratory journals.
